Gaviota Coastline

The Gaviota Coastline is my favorite section along CA 101. It's roughly 30 miles north of Santa Barbara and very close to the legendary, exclusive 14,000 acre Hollister Ranch.

JAMIE!!! It's been ages since I've left a little note here, and you've been so sweet to comment with such nice words over at my blog. I've loved catching up on your posts (a bad cold, an in-law visit, and a self-imposed computer break had me away for quite a while). I forwarded your blog address to my friend who is a newish surfer herself. And I'm digging all of your posts with the great prints and posters. And a few cool car shots thrown in, too. Always a pleasure to stop by here, friend!

It is lovely by car but if you are bike touring down the coast, this is a miserable place as the cross winds can be a deathtrap and you are so frustrated with the wind that you don't even notice how very lovely it is. Aloha Jamie girl. (-: JT

Thank you Susan!!! Made my day.

And Joni - you would know! Joni Taylor is my bada** friend who has ridden her bike from San Francisco all the way down to San Diego. Amazing, that girl.
