Last night I went to Mom's house to have dinner with her and my brother. She made pulled pork burritos with fresh guacamole. (YUM!)
Jay was working late so she packaged up some food for me to take home to him. She also defrosted an apple pie and sent me home with some of that, plus some peaches and an entire pineapple she got at the market.
I mentioned I was going to stop at the store for some 1/2 and 1/2 for coffee the next morning. She said, "Oh I'll give you some of mine in a jar!" When I said Thanks MOM, she said with love in her voice, "You're welcome honey ~ my job is to make life easier for you".
I'm a damn lucky daughter.

You are a lucky daughter. What a wonderful, caring mother.
Pulled Pork Burritos. YUMMO
Awww... that made me teary!
It means so much to hear those stories, being a parent myself. I hope when my kids are grown, they will see me that way (fingers crossed!)
Your mom is lucky that you appreciate her so much. Trust me, it means the world to her. :0)
Wow, I'm speechless. What a beautiful post. I can live vicariously through it, as I've always imagined that is what it would be like to have a mom.
Pulled pork burritos? Oh, yeah. And half and half for the asking. What a mom!
