Hard to hear

Today I was at the studio and my mentor was there, working. She is the one who rented this warehouse and got the artists together. She is a very good, very prolific artist by the name of Kalani Engles.

She told me today that I was wasn't working hard enough. It was hard to hear, but I know it is true.

Coach John Wooden said, "Never mistake activity for achievement". I am taking that to heart now. I often have a lot of activity in my life and not the achievement I want. It is time for me to focus on this.

But what did she mean? You are putting in a lot of hours but are not focused? I guess I'm a little lost. Hmm. Well regardless, I am so proud of you for honoring your creative self in any way at all; some of us allow the demands of daily life to almost completely stifle their creative spirits.

yeah, what did she mean? You have a busy work life, getting married and you still seem to be at the studio a lot. hmmm I am proud of you too. Did she means in terms of output?

Hi. I believe she meant that I'm not there enough and not cranking them out. Both are true. I work more slowly than I could and I am not there on a regular basis. I need to "book myself" to make sure I'm there on a weeknight or two, and a weekend day. Thanks to both of you for your support.
