That's my little brother Bob Welsh, tearing it up at the Montreal Jazz Festival earlier this week. He's playing in the John Nemeth band and they are currently touring the U.S. for another month or so. More videos from the festival here and here.

My heart is bursting with pride. This is exactly how I feel.

My Dad just turned 60 yesterday. I miss him, as he lives in Charleston, SC with his wife. He's a great guy. He's always given me good advice and he's a good listener. He is kind hearted and he loves animals. He comes off as friendly and somewhat serious but he has the goofiest sense of humor. He loves to play golf. He was a philosophy major in college and later became a pilot. He's inspiring because he loved his work and loves to be physically active, and he doesn't let things get him down too much. I can't wait to see him this summer.
